When life gives you lemons, make lemon martinis. That seems to be the thinking behind Y, managed by Sound-Bar owner Rainer Zach. When Sound-Bar was ordered closed until proper licenses were in place, Zach and owner Mark Jurczyk opened another club in the same building. Y is a more intimate concept that puts less focus on the music and more emphasis on lounging. Expect martinis garnished with caviar-stuffed olives and $3,000 bottles of bubbly, along with bathroom attendants and a $20 cover. Shades of yellow and faux ostrich skins give this place a very classy, very New York feel.
