How clever. Spelling Syn with a “y” instead of with an “i.” Very clever, indeed. With a cute play on a devilish word, one already expects much of this club and Syn does deliver. The Y Bar and Sound Bar, decorated by Slick Design, give the place a disco-club vibe complete with colored lights, green-tiled walls, and a large dance floor (where most of the night’s debauchery begins). There are two glass-walled VIP rooms (which hinders customers’ urges to, ahem, sin), but you’ve got to order champagne by the glass or bottle when inside. And what good would the name be if Syn didn’t offer up the seven deadly sins as cocktails? Try the Sloth, made from tequila, mango schnapps and a splash of sour, or the Greed, mixed with Ciroc vodka, island blue pucker and a splash of Pucker topped with Dom Perignon. Or stick to the Original Syn, fashioned from apple vodka, tequila and a splash of sour garnished with an apple. Forbidden fruit, anyone?
