This mid-size venue is a top-notch place to catch some of the biggest and best live acts in all genres of rock. A converted theater minus the seats, the sound system is excellent and the booking brings in some of the best alternative rock in the country, as well as giving a home to local bands, who you can usually catch for a minimal cover. Some complain about the height of the stage harming sightlines, but you'll have to see for yourself, as there is plenty of standing room. Most shows are all ages, with the occasional exception. After you're finished rocking out, head downstairs to Smart Bar if you still have the energy to dance off the ring in your ears. No credit cards accepted - make sure to bring cash.
