On weeknights, sophisticated executives swarm Big Bar, an after-work lounge for networking and unwinding. However, on weekends this Hyatt Regency hotel bar transforms itself into a haven for club-goers. Hard Drive inevitably entices a touristy clientele; yet the exclusive scene also attracts scantily-clad urbanites. Fountains and a mini-pool encircle the flashy dance floor; patrons must trek over one of the two bridges that set this octagon-shaped island apart from the remainder of the club. White chiffon drapes adhered to neon lights, along with several plush benches and plasma televisions, embellishes this already Vegas-like dance floor. Windy City, Al Capone, and Chi-Town Cosmo are just a few drinks befitting to hotel patrons. A cigar menu and top-shelf bottle service sustains the club’s dramatic ambiance. Expect a long, albeit pricey, night, as Hard Drive defies hotel conduct, staying open until 4am.
