Forsaking their former gothic warehouse-like decor, the newly revamped bi-level Crobar fuses urban-industrial finishing with South Beach hues, creating a sleek modernistic interior. The elongated lustrous “Tunnel” guides patrons to the colossal dance floor, where performance artists, professional dancers, and patrons alike cavort with dramatic flare to the sounds of a featured DJ. The upstairs steel and stone catwalk balcony offers a voyeuristic overview of the dance floor’s edgy spectacles, and also hosts plush benches and a VIP room. Unlike most VIP rooms, however, the glass-encased “Suite” accommodates two bars, private bathrooms, as well as its very own DJ. Despite nightly themes to entice a variety of city dwellers, many consider Crobar as so last millennium; thus, explaining the throngs of rings around the city—suburbanites.
